Data Resources

There are many data sources available for secondary analysis. Some commonly used sources are the following:

  • The Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER). CISER data archive is a collection of data sets available to social science researchers at Cornell University.
  • The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) has a catalog of electronic data sets, publications, and journal articles related to health topics.

Our office can assist researchers at Cornell with obtaining data sets from other sources. We have created a document, Guidelines for Data Acquisition, to help researchers formulate an agreement between a lending institution and a borrowing institution.
